Still Falling

Soon – very soon – Before the Fall will be available for purchase, my first ever space opera. With six-foot felinoids and catmint … yes, it’s one of those stories.
It also features the Winterlark and that was a surprise. She originally arrived on the page/screen thanks to a Blue Room competition requring the key words: chain, coffee, black, tattoo. After reading all the entries I wanted to use the words differently, so there came my glam chanteuse seducing her audience with liquid notes and sensuality turned up to stun. She won! Made me laugh, as writing erotica isn’t my forte – I tend to laugh which breaks the mood.
Partway through the first act of Fall I looked harder at the screen because surely the Winterlark was not necessarily this Earth-based but terresterial. No, she’d gone intergalactic and stolen Pericles from Crossroads in the Rogue Mapping sequence to accompany her lyricism.
And just what is the playlist for this story?
Year of the Cat – Al Stewart.
Cloud Number Nine – Bryan Adams
You Shook Me All Night Long – ACDC
Stand Back – Stevie Nicks
Dancing in the Moonlight – Toploader

Welcome, Kris.
There will be more space operatic mutterings soon as Indigo Dancer is due for release and the third Katri title is on my To Do list. Or will be, once I’ve replaced my poor broken coffee plunger.
