wishin’ & hopin’

wishin-hopin

Good news! The third act of Beggars Will Ride is developing nicely except for a minor logistical hitch… though moving a body at 3am so that nobody in Pandora’s Edge knows there is a body just might qualify as a major hitch. Still thinking that one out. The bad news is that I haven’t found a title for this act; it needs to follow Wishbone and Wishful Thinking so “Wish” is probably going to creep in, but Third Wish? Feels flat. And flat only works for crepes or cane toads. Looking at the playlist for this project isn’t helping either. Oddly for me, the number of songs decreases as the word count flies.

Let’s see: Burning Down the House, I Want That Man, Hole in the River, Blue (Da Ba De), Goodnight Girl, I Will Survive, Where the Wild Roses Grow, The River … then Edge of Seventeen … and so far, nothing.

But food has become more important! As has coffee and oh, my cup is cold.

    Wild Wishes?

Doesn’t quite effervesce either, but many thanks. This may be one of those pesky stories I have to finish before finding the title.

Is this the one with the fire?

Not exactly, no. Though I would like to stress that despite the classic advice to write what you know, my knowledge of arson is purely thereotical; no actual houses, wishing wells, or jellyfish were burnt/exploded during the writing of BWR. Or any of the Edge stories.

And then walking home last night I wondered if I really needed interior titles? No! Oh, yes, because WT is from George’s perspective instead of Thorne’s.
    Drat.
