Welcome Home: taste

Molly hummed her signature tune as she tried Harrison White’s door, found it unlocked, and waltzed inside like a modern Goldilocks. Definitely the wrong fairy tale – Molly was a Cinderella who took one look at her destiny and ran, coming back much improved to spit in the eye of her stepsisters, the fairy godmother and the golden-haired prince.
“O bla di, o bla da, life goes on.” Molly had the house to herself and made the most of it, visiting the drinks cabinet on the way to the couch where she kicked off her dangerously shiny stilettos and looked around. And oh, how appropriate! The CD in the stereo, a faint trace of exotic perfume reminiscent of the very subject she wished to … what was the word?
Discuss.
Yes, that was much more pleasant than blackmail.

The novel I started before diving into short stories, then finished last year. Now available in ebook form from Mystic Moon Press.

Damned ISP outage ate my first comment.
Here goes again. What was I saying before rudely interrupted?
Oh hell. The train riding the rails of thought jumped the tracks and refuse to be refitted.
Suffice it to say, I will be sure to order in as I feel that this will be one of those stories keeping me from proper dining and sleep. Which may not be a good thing, but it is quite the compliment.
Luckily my characters like to eat so you’re more than welcome to dine with them.
